The Honda Division posted record May sales of 129,447, up from May 2006 results of 125,639.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With one additional selling day in May 2007, the daily selling rate* (DSR) percentage change represents a 1.4 percent decline for American Honda and a 0.9 percent decline for Honda Division. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;But as the first three years of the Pro Tour calendar have seen a never-ending squabble between the governing body and organisers of major races in Europe, eventually leading to the three Grand Tours — the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana — pulling out of the calendar this year, it leaves a big question mark as to the future of LTdL.Latest on the cards should the Pro Tour be moved out of Europe are Malaysia's LTdL and Australia's Tour Down Under, both of which are currently hors categorie races on UCI continental calendars and McQuaid had nothing but good words for the organisation of LTdL. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;"The race had a couple of troubled years, but it is a very good race and an important race to the UCI. It is a wonderful gesture in which the Government recognised this fact that this race is beneficial to their objectives," said McQuaid. Pro Tour status would mean the organisers are required to include all 20 Pro Tour teams, with just wildcard entries available for teams outside that division. With their style and size, SUVs make a statement loud enough to be heard in all corners of the world. More than the outer appearance, SUVs are quite functional as well. The interiors are very comfortable and decked out with every imaginable gadget to make driving easier. SUVs can lug the whole family around. Indeed, SUVs are also serving as all-around vehicles.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So why are some sectors harping on SUVs? For one, the high demand for SUVs has precipitated the skyrocketing prices for each single unit. An SUV may be pleasing to behold but your bank account will definitely suffer for it. Another critical issue linked to the SUV is its environmental impact. A vehicle this size definitely consumes much more fuel than you average sedan.&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt; SUVs haven’t been nicknamed “gas guzzlers” for nothing. That, of course, adds to the expense of the owner as well. More than the monetary impact, fuel consumption also has adverse implications regarding the environment. With the rising environmental problems the whole world is facing, this is indeed a very serious issue. Another point that has been raised concering SUVs is their safety. Due to their height, SUVs have a larger tendency to roll over during an accident. Good news for SUV lovers – the answer is yes. Realizing the negative aspects of the earlier models, manufacturers are now modifying SUVs to address the issues outlined above. First, SUVs are now made lighter than the first models. Weight is directly related to fuel consumption. With the decrease in weight, overall fuel consumption is decreased as well. Furthermore, there are now hybrid SUVs which rely on electricity in tandem with gasoline or diesel. These new measures definitely aid a lot towards the lessening of the pollution generated by these big cars. Now, people can enjoy the benefits of SUVs without offending their moral sensibilities when it comes to the environment. More so, safety features abound in SUVs – and definitely in the newer ones. The critical factor now is the driver. Before unleashing transistor signals and binary codes on the engine, SPI fortified the hard parts. The 3.0-liter inline six was bored .020 over by RC Engine Building out of Brooklyn, New York, and fitted with JE pistons. The 8.5:1 compression slugs swing on Crower connecting rods and a stock crankshaft. It is a fact that power tends to hide in the cylinder head, but any competent Supra tuner will tell you the key is not so much hogging out the runners as it is matching cams to turbos (or turbo). The SPI Supra runs Blitz bumpsticks with 264 degrees duration and 9.3mm of lift. A pair of HKS cam gears are on call to fine tune the curve. SPI addressed these important issues with a Denso Mazda 20B fuel pump, SX regulator and 720cc injectors on the fuel side and HKS GT2835 ball-bearing turbos mounted to a trick HKS manifold on the induction side. The turbos run a 52T compressor wheel and a 10cm2 turbine wheel to provide a hard-hitting combination of spool up and high-end flow. With 35 psi of boost as a ceiling, a HKS Racing wastegate was employed to allow the turbos to spool properly by not opening pre-maturely under the crunch of nearly three dozen pounds of pressure. On the top end the wastegate ensures the speedy ball-bearing turbos will not overboost, which can result in a blown head gasket or worse. Anyone who has suffered the effects of slow-motion spooling or boost creep can appreciate the job a good wastegate does. Once the exhaust gas has done its duty, an APEXi GT-series exhaust system escorts the spent fumes out of the picture.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Electronic wizardry is again on display when it comes to the tuning of the 2JZ-GTE. Hubie says it's alphabet soup--VPC, ITC, AFC, AVC-R. An APEXi AVC-R Digital boost controller works in tandem with the aforementioned HKS Racing wastegate to limit the boost. The Supra retains its stock ECU but relies on hardcore off-the-shelf tuning instruments. First on the list is the Supra mainstay, HKS Vein Pressure Converter (VPC), which eliminates the restrictive factory air meter (see May 2001 Turbo). Next is an APEXi Super ITC ignition timing controller that allows tuning of the crank angle signal 15 percent plus or minus stock via five rpm knobs on the unit.
