Two time Olympic gold medalist Jesper Bank and Frenchman Richard Mathieu have confirmed their attendance to the Monsoon Cup, bringing the number of teams competing in the sailing event to twelve.
Bank will be skippering for United Internet Team Germany while Mathieu flies the colours of the Saba Sailing Team. Both skippers are currently in the top eight standings for the World Match Race Tour, and together with Ian Williams, Paolo Cian and Sebastien Col means that the Monsoon Cup 2006 will now have five of the current top eight World Match Race Tour skippers of the 2006-2007 season.
The Monsoon Cup is the sixth and only Asian leg of the World Match Race Tour and will be held at the Heritage Bay Club Marina,
Pulau Duyong from the 29th of November to the 3rd of December 2006.
